Crossing Guard Appreciation Day
Mabry Elementary is launching the second annual Crossing Guard Appreciation Day on Friday, February 3rd. Friday will also be our next Walk to School event as well!
Please help us say "thank you" to our amazing crossing guards who help keep our kids safe. We are asking families to walk to school, then take the time thank their crossing guards on February 3rd. We encourage students to bring homemade signs and thank you cards, a flower, or other special gift or treat. We are also looking for volunteers to stand at each of the four corners with thank you signs. Ideas for posters your children can make include: “We love our traffic guard! Honk if you love her/him too!” to honor our crossing guards and encourage the community to embrace the special role our guards are fulfilling in keeping our school children safe. If you and your child would like to volunteer to stand at one of the four corners that morning in support with a sign, please contact Safety Committee reps Kristen Zajac, (813) 758-0078, firstname.lastname@example.org, Denise Socher, (813) 230-0823, email@example.com. For any questions related to Walk to School Friday please contact Arianne Corbett (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you for helping us honor some incredible people who do so much for Mabry Elementary students!
