Art Show is postponed

The Art Show that was originally scheduled for December 5th as a part of the Family Dinner night has been postponed.  Our artistic students are working hard on wonderful masterpieces but more time is needed.  Stay tuned for more details in the beginning of new year.

Canned Food Drive 11/6- 11/9

November 5, 2017

Student Council is holding its annual canned food drive.  We are looking for new, unexpired food to donate. Cans can be brought to the box provided in the front of your classroom. The food drive will be from November 6th-9th .

Some items you can bring in are:

•    Canned vegetables

•     Canned fruits

•     Canned soup

•     Canned meat

•     Stuffing

•     Tuna fish

•     Boxes of

        o       instant rice

        o       pasta

        o       potatoes

        o       mac and cheese

•     Dessert Mixes

You can bring in your donations to your student council rep anytime during the week.  Donations will be given to Mabry Families and Metropolitan Ministries. We are also looking to help Westshore Elementary with their Friday Weekend Backpack Fill Up.  Students need food they can easily eat or heat up such as individual snacks, Easy Mac, juice packs, etc.  Together we can make this Thanksgiving special for Mabry and Westshore students!   

Red Ribbon Week Oct 23-27

This year's Red Ribbon Week Theme is "Your Future is Key, so Stay Drug Free."

 

Our themed days are as follows:

 

Monday, Oct. 23 - students receive their spirit stick for Red Ribbon Week ("I Make Healthy Choices")

 

Tuesday, Oct. 24 - Wear Red Day.  

 

Wednesday, Oct. 25 - Team Up Against Drugs (wear a team shirt)

 

Thursday, October 26 - Sock it to Drugs (wear crazy socks)

 

Friday, October 27 - Pledge Day - sign a pledge to remain drug free

                      It's that time of year again! Dr. Goodnight will be buying back Halloween candy on Fri, Nov. 3rd from 7:15 to 8:00am in the front of Dale Mabry Elementary. He will also buy back candy at his South Tampa office Nov. 1st thru Nov. 2nd 8 - 5 and November 3rd 8-12.

 

He will turn that candy into cash for you and send the candy to Operation Gratitude. They send it to men and women overseas in care packages. So send some smiles to our U.S. Military and put some cash in your hand at the same time. For more information on Operation Gratitude click here.

Candy buy back $1 per pound limit up to $5. You may donate more if you would like.
